What the heck is a Switchel & an Oxymel?


Switchel is a non-alcoholic, ginger-forward beverage traditionally made with water, apple cider vinegar, a natural sweetener (like molasses, maple syrup, or honey), and fresh ginger. Also known as "Haymaker’s Punch" or "Ginger Water," it was originally popularized in the Caribbean and later became a staple in Colonial America.
