About the event
In this class we will be exploring how to create your own sourdough starter and demonstrate the 3 easy steps to creating your own baked sourdough. The "golf ball" starter system offers an easier less stress & mess process to have hot delicious bread at home on demand.
Your mentor Erika Bradshaw:
My husband and I started farming in 2003, beginning with (4) 3,000 sq' greenhouses growing hydroponic tomatoes. Three years later we added an acre of raised garden beds, expanding our efforts in being involved with healthy, local foods.
As we aged, physical limitations required we look for another avenue to continue our interest in providing healthy, local food sources. We purchased a commercial kitchen and redirected our efforts to making baked goods and prepared foods for the community.
Sourdough bread intrigued me but was put off by the wet starter method used by most bakers. I developed a dry starter…
